The Japanese operator, KDDI will begin selling its unusual smartphone, the Infobar C01 in February 3rd, 2012. This candybar phone runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and manufactured by Sharp Corp.

KDDI Infobar C01 smartphone has a 3.2-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 854 points and a physical keypad with unique buttons, oversized and colorful keys.

The Sharp Infobar C01 smartphone is using a single-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 processor (RAM and onboard storage is not specified yet).

Infobar C01 Android smartphone has an 8 megapixel camera on back and support HD video recording, 1Seg digital TV tuner, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 3.0. There is a microSD card slot, infrared port (IR), and USB connector.

Dimensions of Infobar C01 are 130 x 52 x 12.3 mm with weight only 106 grams. It is supports work in CDMA and GSM mobile networks.

There is no word on pricing at moment.
